One spring, early in the morning, the residents of Woodland Drive were visited by a very curious bear. It stood upright against the walls of cabins and peered through as many windows as could be easily accessed, walked around vehicles looking inside, and climbed a few trees. I awoke with the bear standing at my bedroom window 2 feet from my face! It was chocolate brown all over, except that the tip of it's nose was almost white. The pale color was sand from the beach! After 30 minutes or so of hanging out, with no apparent interest in leaving, it was chased away by one of the neighbors
