Welcome To Diamond Lake!

BYLAWS

Diamond Lake Improvement Association (DLIA) is an organization whose members are Diamond Lake area residents and property owners. DLIA members work together “to protect and preserve the water and enhance the quality of life on Diamond Lake.” A board of directors meets regularly throughout the year to address concerns of members and plan activities to promote a sense of cooperation and community.  We cordially invite anyone interested in maintaining and improving the quality of life in our area to become a member.

Membership dues are $15.00 for an individual member or $25.00 for a household membership. Single membership entitles the member one vote at the annual meeting held in August of each year, while a household membership is entitled to two votes.

DLIA members, membership dues, and donations:

• Maintain the quality of life for those residing in the Diamond Lake area
• Allow us to work with other lake associations on issues of common interest
• Allow involvement with county, state, and federal agencies on matters pertaining to water quality and shoreline issues
• Help lead the fight to control or eliminate Eurasian Milfoil infestation
• Manage and finance an annual fish feeding program at Boy Scout Bay
• Pay for ten streetlights at critical intersections around the lake
• Publish a newsletter five times a year (April through August)
• Have contributed to Fourth of July fireworks displays and the annual boat parade
• Support our volunteer Fire District #3 with such items as a portable defibrillator, ice rescue sled, portable helicopter landing lights, and person pagers
• Maintain a DLIA website (www.diamondlakewa.org) which currently is in the process of being expanded with the hopes of keeping residents and others better informed of events pertaining to the lake and its members.

Membership dues reminders generally are mailed in May of each year. Also included in the reminders is the opportunity to donate to the ongoing milfoil eradication efforts, fish pen, or to other items of interest.  Any support is greatly appreciated.
